We are seeking a highly skilled Service Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and enhancing services, ensuring they meet user needs and align with business goals. The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of user-centred design principles and methodologies, as well as experience in delivering services that are efficient, effective, and enjoyable for users.

Key Responsibilities:

– Collaborate with stakeholders to identify user needs and service requirements.

– Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and inform design decisions.

– Create service blueprints, user journey maps, and prototypes to visualise service delivery processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

– Proven experience as a Service Designer or in a similar role.

– Strong understanding of Government Digital Service (GDS) principles and frameworks.

– Proficiency in user research methods and techniques.

– Experience in creating user journey maps, service blueprints, and prototypes.

– Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.

– Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesise complex information into clear design solutions.

– Familiarity with design thinking methodologies and agile project management.
