This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly creative senior designer to join the design department at Times Higher Education (THE), the leading authority and trusted global data partner for the higher education sector, to play a key role in the development and success of a new and exciting venture – THE Creative Services.

You will work closely with the Lead Designer, in defining the creative scope and output of THE’s in-house creative and branded content team. Working with THE’s commercial teams; Creative Services brings together content creation, design; branding and promotion to provide agency associated services direct to THE’s clients. You will be a key component in this, utilising your expertise and excellence, to deliver top quality creative results that really measure up.

Your creativity and design confidence will be obvious and demonstrable, in that you are at ease creating high-quality; highly effective and engaging designs across multiple channels; using and further developing brand guidelines when applicable.

You are comfortable regularly working with clients, whether directly or in response to their briefs, interpreting and developing bespoke creative responses/campaigns that elevate their brands. We may work within the parameters of Higher Education, but effective solutions often come from outside of this box.

You will be expert in managing your time and multiple projects effectively, while bringing fresh ideas; a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude and an obvious hunger to continually push yourself and your creative work in this busy and fulfilling role.

You will have at least 7 years relative mid-senior level experience within a like agency or creative role and be looking for the next step up on your career journey. You will possess a portfolio that not only demonstrates great design solutions and executions, but an impeccable eye for detail and a good sense for typography and layout across all channels, as well as a good knowledge of market applicable design trends.

You will have expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign; Illustrator and Photoshop especially), as well as Powerpoint; Word and knowledge of basic html and website CMS. A very good working knowledge of Shorthand and Adobe After Effects would be very beneficial and a distinct advantage, as would the ability to create/edit short videos for social/web presentation.
