Exciting work you’ll do:

  • Use your combined knowledge of design thinking and business strategy to plan and execute design-led work streams within strategic transformation engagements (e.g., research and insights, journey mapping and blueprinting, concept ideation and prioritization, etc.).
  • Use contemporary business and design methods to transform Fortune 500 and critical public sector/non-profit organizations’ customer experience, drive employee experience and engagement, improve organizational effectiveness, and more.
  • Participate and collaborate on a variety of projects across diverse teams/perspectives to further create an environment that values diversity of thought.
  • Design and lead collaborative, cross-functional workshops to drive strategic, design-focused outcomes.
  • Lead and develop junior team members.
  • Cultivate trusted client relationships.
  • Actively contribute to business development.
  • Leverage your existing expertise and passion to help grow the firm through targeted firm development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to shape North Highland’s go-to-market strategy and client delivery model for experience design
  • Build internal relationships with your Career Coach, peers, and network of North Highland leaders to develop a personalized growth plan.

What you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience in one of the following environments: management consulting, advisory, professional services, design consulting/agencies, and/or Big 4 consulting.
  • Experience implementing digital products and/or digital experiences using the integration of data and/or other quantitative insights
  • A demonstrated track record of successfully working on large, complex consulting engagements, including roles that involved managing and interfacing with senior-level client executives.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with professional staff, senior level executives, and the community at large.
  • An ability to authentically establish credibility, build consensus, and activate collaboration with clients and teammates.
  • Proven experience developing customer and/or employee-centric strategies and experiences – a portfolio of past projects may be requested.
  • Creative ingenuity and a proven ability to find or design simple solutions to complex challenges.
  • Prior experience designing and facilitating large collaborative workshops either individually or under the guidance of senior team members
  • Proficient in designing, executing, and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative user research.
  • Proficient in creating experience maps, user journeys, service blueprints, and wireframes.
  • Proficient in defining mechanisms to quantify impact, feasibility, and viability of concepts and solutions.
  • The desire and ability to travel to fulfill client requirements and project needs, and for personal development.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, including an excellent ability to uncover new opportunities for account growth and impact.
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university. A master’s degree (Business Administration, Industrial Design, Service Design) and/or applicable professional certifications are preferred.
