Responsible for design and development of engaging user experiences for a variety of applications using workshops, creative brainstorms, interaction design, and service design.

  • Utilize research to develop insights, generate concepts, and to understand how people interact with BCBSM products and services.
  • Use system design to ensure problem definition and ideation address the needs and optimize the value across all stakeholders.
  • Conceptualize and lead Design Thinking initiatives and projects, including workshops, user interviews, and creative brainstorms.
  • Develop process flows and wireframes to conceptualize and communicate design strategies.
  • Contribute to the communication of research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually.
  • Attend and help plan community events, workshops, and conferences.
  • Explain and discuss design decisions and give design feedback to other team members.

” Qualifications“

  • Bachelor’s degree in Visual Design or related field required.
  • Five years of in-depth knowledge and experience of Interaction Design and Service Design across varied users, business problems, and devices required.
  • Ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, Axure, Confluence, or JIRA is preferred.
  • Understanding of several areas of specialization within the greater design landscape, including but not limited to Design Research, Visual Design, and Content Design.
  • Ability to create experience maps, user journeys and service blueprints, interaction models, flows, and wireframes.
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping methods, ranging from paper sketching to digital prototypes.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to deliver complex information.
  • Advanced analytical, decision making, organizational, and creative thinking.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interface with all levels of management.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.
