About the Role
We are seeking a Service Designer to join our client’s Data, Information, and Privacy Services Division. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering data products that improve access, governance, and analytics while ensuring data is treated as a corporate asset. This role will leverage human-centered design to support digital transformation, program reviews, and service innovation across enterprise data services.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply human-centered design methods to data product delivery and program reviews.
- Conduct journey mapping, service blueprinting, prototyping, and co-design workshops.
- Analyze user experiences, identify gaps, and design innovative solutions to improve data access and usability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new processes, policies, and data service improvements.
- Document findings, create roadmaps, and define measurable outcomes to guide transformation.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
- Degree/diploma/certificate in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline (or 8+ years of equivalent experience).
- 6+ years’ experience in journey mapping, service blueprinting, and visualizing user needs.
- 6+ years’ experience facilitating co-design workshops.
- 8+ years’ experience using human-centered design approaches (UX, service design, interaction design).
- 8+ years’ experience with digital/data services such as data pipelines, catalogs, and data architecture.
- Proven ability to manage projects of significant size and complexity in a service innovation or digital transformation environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience creating service metrics, KPIs, and performance measures.
- Strong background in ethnographic/behavioral research and translating findings into actionable designs.
- Ability to zoom between detailed process analysis and big-picture system understanding.
- Prior experience in public sector or enterprise-level digital programs.
