You will lead the creation and and incubation of disruptive business ideas with potential to scale. Partnering with our agile squads and other business stakeholders, you will play an integral role within our innovation teams and impact business outcomes on a global level.

More specifically, you will:

  • Take a strategic role in helping your innovation team empathise with the customer and the wider ecosystem;
  • Lead research and customer development (preparing, conducting and analyzing customer interviews and other experiments), which includes coaching colleagues who are less experienced in this area;
  • Lead the process of ideation, prototyping and the design of new business models. You will challenge, stretch and refine the ideas of others;
  • Transform raw data into valuable learnings and design briefs, make complex ideas simple through visual means;
  • Encourage the exploration of new research directions and help early-stage teams to formulate hypotheses for experimentation;
  • Prepare and facilitate workshops for both experienced and inexperienced innovators all over the world;
  • Provide insights to enable collaborative decision making around innovation portfolio decisions;
  • Continuously challenge and help refine the processes and structures of innovation within D&I.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level in Service Design, Strategic Design, Industrial Design (or similar), or equivalent experience in a professional setting;
  • Comfortable dealing with uncertainty and ambiguity, making decisions, and taking risks where and when necessary. You can transform ambiguous concepts into tangible messages for colleagues;
  • Expert in Design Thinking and user-centric design – based on your studies or your experience. You are familiar with Lean Startup, Agile, Scrum methodologies;
  • Very familiar with early-stage innovation tools and methodologies (Customer Personas, Value Proposition Canvas, Business Model Canvas etc) and able to guide teams on how to employ divergent and convergent thinking;
  • Fluent in English; other languages are a plus (French, Portuguese, Spanish in particular).
